Nurzat Abdyrasulova is the founder and leader of the UNISON Group, with more than 20 years of experience in project management, consulting and digital technologies.
Under her leadership, the UNISON Group has grown into an international company.
As an inspiring leader and leader of a multinational team, she holds an active position as a public figure of the Kyrgyz Republic in the field of energy and ecology. Author of a number of analytical reviews, recommendations, books, brochures and articles on environmental and energy issues, co-author of the Law of the Kyrgyz Republic "On Energy Efficiency of Buildings", expert on energy sector management, sustainable energy and ecology, worked in national, Central Asian and regional projects in countries such as Russia, Kazakhstan, Armenia, hosted participation in international UN sessions on climate change, including as part of the official delegation of the Kyrgyz Republic.
She began her career as a public figure and environmentalist at the International University of Kyrgyzstan, where she received a bachelor's degree in Ecology and the Use of Nature. The Master's degree was the next direction for Nurzat, where she defended her diploma in Slovakia at the Istropolitana Nova Academy. There, the future expert learned about how they work with the environment and its components abroad. “Back then, there was no work for specialists in our field, so I set about creating something of my own,” Abdyrasulova recalled about the company's opening in 2002. All the experience and knowledge that Nurzat Abdyrasulova had accumulated by that time, she invested in the implementation of her first projects. In the beginning, the company's activities consisted of public actions, a mass campaign and analytical work. At the time of 2024, the company had led more than 40 multilateral projects in the fields of sustainable energy, renewable energy, energy efficiency in buildings and other sectors with leading international partner institutions.
The Head of the UNISON Group was awarded for her contribution and achievements in the sustainable development of Kyrgyzstan “Honorary Diploma of the President of the Kyrgyz Republic” in 2017, after which she was awarded the “Prize of the Government of the Kyrgyz Republic” two years later.
Looking at the History of Unison, one can observe how not only the company, but Nurzat herself grew as a highly qualified expert and leader. In addition to working in the field of our company, she acted as a mentor and speaker for a new generation of future specialists, inspiring them with her example to be proactive in initiating big changes for Kyrgyzstan in programs such as Girls in Science and many other projects in rural regions and schools of Kyrgyzstan aimed at developing youth and helping vulnerable segments of the population and women.
Nurzat Abdyrasulova believes in the development of Kyrgyzstan based on the methods and projects implemented by the UNISON Group of companies. The figures and success indicators of our company serve as proof of this, where 3355 projects were implemented within the framework of the KyrSEFF project alone (stages I and II), which led to a reduction in carbon dioxide emissions by a whopping 67 thousand tons/year, and water savings amounted to more than 163 thousand m3/year. Nurzat continues to work within the company and speak at international conferences, where she promotes the development of Kyrgyzstan and the increase of its diverse potential.
