The Bel-Tam yurt camp in the village of Bokonbayevo has been ecocertified and awarded the Silver category as part of the PERETO project.

Today we are telling you what green technologies have been implemented in the camp, located on the picturesque shore of Issyk-Kul. Bel-Tam was founded in 2001 and has been welcoming guests every year since. In 2023, travelers from 47 countries rested here.

The owner, Aida Kydyrgycheva, says that green technologies are installed on the territory: a heat pump, solar panels, solar collectors, a sewage treatment plant for 15 cubic meters, household appliances of energy class A+, lamps, windows are energy efficient, and garbage is sorted. Food waste is also composted.

These innovations allow the camp to minimize the impact on nature and support the concept of sustainable tourism.

"This project has been known for a long time, we are glad that we had the opportunity to undergo eco-certification. This is an important indicator of the quality of our work," says Aida Kydyrgycheva.

The eco-certification procedure was conducted by the consultant PERETO Mars Berikbayev together with the Green Alliance of Kyrgyzstan.

The PERETO project, implemented with the support of the European Union, continues to have a positive impact on sustainable tourism.
