The results of the energy audit from the experts of PERETO were presented to the tourist sites of Talas. Tilek Toktokozhoev, the project consultant in Talas, told about this. Last year, experts Zhanybek Kulumbetov and Kanatbekov Aidar conducted an energy audit for five tourist sites: the Meiman Dos Hotel, the Kishimzhan and Talas guest houses, the Ak-Kuu and Zhyrgal restaurants in the Talas region.
The audit revealed a number of errors related to improving the energy efficiency of buildings. The most common are incorrect installation of plastic windows when little foam is applied around the edges or a homemade metal profile is purchased instead of a plastic factory profile.
Also, many tourist facilities partially insulate walls, ceilings, floors, and this is insufficient energy-efficient measures compared to integrated insulation. The report prepared during thermal imaging shows all the problem areas of heat leakage, ventilation errors, etc.
Based on the results of the energy audit, the experts provided the owners of the tour facilities with their recommendations on how to eliminate deficiencies and how to apply modern "green" measures. In addition, the required capacities of heat pumps, solar panels and collectors, and their payback periods were individually calculated.
"Due to the fact that the report was written informatively, illustratively and accessible, all representatives of small and medium-sized businesses were satisfied and grateful to the PERETO project. The owners are motivated and are waiting for spring to implement energy-efficient measures," said Tilek Toktokozhoev, a consultant at PERETO.
