The aim of the project is to raise awareness of all stakeholders and strengthen the participation of the civil sector and youth of Kyrgyzstan in climate change issues at the level of global processes such as COY17, COP27.
Description of services:
- Drawing up a list of stakeholders and developing an online questionnaire on key issues of ONUV-2 and COP 27 to involve the public and prepare them for consultations;
- Preparation of a draft public position outlining the position of civil society on climate change issues and the possible contribution of society to mitigation and adaptation to climate change and public consultation;
- Document finalizing, presentation/official distribution to government agencies. Social media coverage, publication of a press release in the media;
Result/ Impact:
- The public position was translated into English and Kyrgyz and posted on the website of the NGO "Green Alliance of Kyrgyzstan". Link to the document: https://green-alliance.kg/27-natsionalnaya-pozitsiya
- CSOs, the media, and other stakeholders are using the document to further promote climate change initiatives.
