Shakirova Ira Tashtanovna has been retired for more than 5 years and lives with her children in the Ak-Bata housing estate. Her small house, with an area of 26 square meters, has long been in need of repair. Since the building was not insulated in the winter, it was damp and cold. In addition, in one of the rooms there is a crack in the wall and a hole in the ceiling. Therefore, precipitation in the form of snow and rain penetrates into the room, and it never stays warm. Ira Shakirova was provided with assistance within the framework of the project "Assistance in the inclusion of internal migrants in the green renovation process in Kyrgyzstan" with the support of the Development Fund of the International Organization for Migration (IDF). Next to the emergency house there was a temporary building, which was eventually expanded and completed. In the renovated premises, thermal insulation of the walls, floor, ceiling and roof covering with a drainage system were made, energy-efficient windows and an entrance door were installed. In addition, an additional bedroom with a vestibule was added to the complex using the efforts and funds of relatives and a construction company. Thus, Ira Shakirova's family will spend the winter in a warm house.
